The Practice of Belonging — Dani Prisacariu
8-session group program · 4–6 people · Brussels The practice of
belonging
A collective arc of transformation — learning to be fully yourself, in the presence of others, without shrinking the parts of you that matter most.
Starts 2 June Tuesdays · 09:00–10:30 Healing Stories · Brussels 500 eur
Is this you?
You've learned to shrink yourself for connection or approval You orient toward others at the cost of your own needs Boundaries feel hard to set — and harder still to keep You're anxiously attached or easily overwhelmed in closeness You give and give until there is nothing left You're a perfectionist, a people-pleaser, or both You live in burnout, freeze, or constant high-alert You can't quite claim your place in this world You believe things could change — but keep turning the blame inward
This space was made with those in mind who have been called outsiders — not by their own choosing, but by the world's narrowness. Those whose way of loving, whose body, whose gender, whose origin, whose very presence has been named too much, not enough, or simply wrong. Queers and gender explorers. Migrants and those who have crossed borders of culture and identity. Those who are neurodivergent. Those whose bodies, relationships, or sexualities have been told they don't belong. Anyone who has learned, somewhere along the way, that being fully visible carries a cost.
What we'll work on together Skills for a different way of being in relationship This is not a talking-about-it program. It is a practicing-it program. Each week, in a small and carefully held group, you will learn, embody, and rehearse something new — with yourself, and in the presence of others. A little theory, a lot of practice, and the group itself as the medicine.
Authentic belonging Being seen as you actually are — not the version that learned to survive.
Anchoring in yourself Returning to your own truth, values, and centre — especially under relational pressure.
Real yes’s, no’s, and maybe’s Consent and boundaries as living embodied practice — not rules, but felt knowing.
Nervous system work Finding centred ground when triggers arise; moving out of freeze, collapse, or high-alert.
Mutual connection Growing the capacity to give and receive without losing yourself in either direction.
Power and change in relationship Navigating your own power and renegotiating your relationships.
Nature and ritual weave through all of it, as anchoring and as invitation.

Who I am
Dani Prisacariu
Dani Prisacariu Somatic coach & facilitator · Strozzi Institute certified
I know what it looks like when someone is present in a room but not fully there. The careful management of how much to show. The split-second calculation before speaking. The performance of ease. I've spent years working with people navigating exactly this: the gap between who they are and whom they've learned to be in connection. And I know this territory not just as a practitioner, but as someone who has lived it. Navigating what it means to show up as my full self, queer, non-binary, coming from a working-class family in Romania, has not always been simple. I have moved through worlds that were not built for me, and I know the particular exhaustion of contorting yourself for connection. I know what it costs. And I know that it changes not by trying harder, but by practicing something different, in the presence of people who can hold it. I am a certified somatic coach with the Strozzi Institute, training in somatics since 2019. My work is shaped by years in queer, trans, and feminist movements, and by the conviction that how we relate to each other is not separate from how we relate to the world. The more of us learn to connect without shrinking our dignity, the more space there is for all of us. That is what I'm here to work toward with you.
Before you ask Frequently asked questions
Is this therapy? No — and yes, in the sense that it will likely feel healing, and we will move through some significant things together. But this is not clinical therapy, and I am not a therapist. This is somatic coaching and facilitation: practice-based, relational, and rooted in embodied learning. If you are currently in a mental health crisis or need clinical support, I encourage you to seek that alongside or instead of this work.
What if I miss a session? Because this is a group process, your presence matters — both for yourself and for the others. Sessions will not be recorded, and there is no way to fully catch up on what was lived in the room. Before registering, please make sure you can attend all 8 sessions. If something truly unexpected arises, we'll navigate it with care — but consistent attendance is part of your commitment to yourself and to the group.
How much time will this ask of me outside of sessions? The real work happens in the in-between. I ask that you dedicate at least 10 minutes a day to practice — whether that's a guided audio, a moment of reflection in the workbook, or simply pausing to notice. The sessions open a door; daily practice is how you walk through it.
What does a session actually look like? Each 90-minute session blends a little theory with a lot of embodied practice — somatic exercises, relational experiments, ritual, and real conversation. The group itself is the practice ground: what arises between us is as valuable as anything I bring in. Expect to be gently challenged, genuinely supported, and occasionally surprised.
Do I need prior experience with somatic work or coaching? None at all. Curiosity, honesty, and a willingness to show up as yourself are all you need to bring.
How does registration work? Fill in the registration form using the button above. Once I've reviewed it and confirmed your place, you'll receive an email with an invoice. Your spot is secured upon payment. Spaces are limited to 4–6 people, so if you're drawn to this, don't wait too long.
What is the payment plan? The full investment is €500. If a single payment doesn't work for you right now, a 2-month plan is available. Reach out before or alongside your registration form and we'll arrange it.
Is the space where we meet accessible? The sessions take place at Healing Stories, Bd de la Cambre 72, Brussels. The space is on the ground floor with no steps at the entrance. The toilet is also on the ground floor, though it is a small space and may not be accessible for wheelchair users. If you have questions about access or would like to discuss your specific needs before registering, please reach out and we'll figure it out together.
Is this the right program for me? If you've read this far and something in you is leaning toward yes — trust that. If you have genuine doubts or want to talk it through before registering, you're welcome to reach out. I'd rather you make the right choice than the fast one.
